3-D animal puzzles

The handsome zebra (above) and meatherium (extinct giant ground sloth, below) are two of our very popular 3D animal puzzles. We have many, many animals to choose from. The puzzles are popular for any child old enough not to swallow small pieces, and for adults as well. Come and see all of our 3-D animal interlocking plastic puzzles! We have a good supply for the holidays! These are memorable gifts that don't cost a lot of money - use for stocking stuffers or as an interesting gift in its own right. The recipient of the puzzle can take it apart and put it back together as many times as they like and can either store it in the plastic case it comes in or keep it on display as a collectible plastic animal figurine.

Another plastic fish gone :(

Now it's our popular sheephead plastic fish that is gone. We're unable to get any more, but we like to acknowledge some of our favorites and yours from time to time when we have to take them off of the web site. It's also a good time to remember, that if you love a certain animal in our online store, it's good to buy it while we have it! Some are with us for many years, and some have disappeared soon after they go online. In that case, it's frustrating for us, because we've found something that we and our customers both like, and then we can't get more!

OUR GOAL

We continually try to stock the unusual REALISTIC animal and fish toys, replicas and collectibles in affordable price ranges, and we are particularly interested when a manufacturer comes up with something where the species is recognizable. Over the years, we've found that it's not so easy to find animals in this category. Often the color will be a little off (or way off!), or an animal with the right coloring will have red eyes! Or it looks like a mix of several species. Still, we do our best to find them for you, and it's our pleasure to stock the gift shop with these fun and useful toys and collectibles. Many, many students have completed their school projects to get an "A" with animals from our store. They have also been purchased by museums, zoos, and for corporate events as well as by collectors and individuals who thought they would be fun to have or give as unique a gift. Our big blue stuffed catfish is selling well this season. We still have enough left for you to get one or more if you order soon. You can see and purchase the stuffed catfish in our online gift shop. Once our supply is gone, the catfish is gone forever, because it's been discontinued by the manufacturer, as they are closing out their line of stuffed animals.

Stuffed toy racoon back in our store!

One of our favorite stuffed animals is back in our store! This totally charming stuffed raccoon can now be ordered online in time for the holidays. Our lying raccoon is sturdy and solid, and could even be used as a pillow, especially by children.

We ship new orders the day you place them whenever possible. You don't even need to choose rush shipping! You should have this raccoon within a few days of your order in the US. It will take 10 days to 2 weeks for orders outside the US because we can't guarantee what the mail system or the customs office will do once it gets off the plane.

Animal Peeper Keeper eyeglass holders - important message!

GET THEM WHILE THEY LAST! We've just sold out of the eagle you seen here, and they are DISCONTINUED!

You may recognize this popular style of animal eyeglass holders. For the past few years they have been growing in popularity on our web site. They're especially popular around the Christmas/Hanukkah season. However, we've learned from the importer that they will no longer be producing them. There's nothing wrong with the product, but these wonderful Peeper Keepers were actually a sideline for the importer, and they are moving on to new products.

The long and short of it is, as we sell out of any animal style (and we have more than 40 animals), we may find out that we cannot get any more. If you like these eyeglass holders and have thought of buying them this season or in the future as a birthday gift or other gift - or for yourself! - the time to get them is NOW! A number of the animal types will become permanently unavailable during this holiday season and others will last to an unknown date in 2009. The products that are in the US at this moment are all that we can get. No new ones will be imported. Some animal types, like this eagle, are now gone. You may find one in a brick-and-mortar retail store somewhere if you're very lucky (and no, we don't know who carries them), but our source is no longer available. With certain animal types, there may be enough in the US right now to last into 2009, but it's hard to predict which ones they will be until we try to get them.

Plastic maned wolf: Another one bites the dust

Another of our all-time favorite critters has been (sadly) discontinued. We loved this maned wolf, because how many toy maned wolves can you find? We hope to find another for our gift shop someday, but they are few and far between. This one was unique in a weird way as well. Oddly enough, the manufacturers stamped MYERS ASPARAGUS on the underside. That's a type of asparagus fern!

New 3D (4D) animal puzzles in the gift shop (reptiles and dinosaurs)!

We have added twelve new 3-D Animal Puzzles to our collection in Tapir and Friends online gift shop! The puzzles are ready for the holidays and are fun for all ages. If you can't put one together, get someone under the age of 10 to do it! We have four new reptiles and eight new dinosaurs. In the order you see them here, they are dilophosaurus (above), gecko (first picture below), brachyosaurus, iguanodon, spinosaurus, boa vs. crocodile, pentaceratops, frilled lizard, Indian star tortoise, two different versions of t-rex, and a brightly-colored stegosaurus.
