About Eastern Brown Snakes

The eastern brown snake (Pseudonaja textilis) is also known as the common brown snake. They are considered the second most-venomous land snake based on studies involving mice, second only to the inland tiapan snake of Australia.

Eastern brown snakes are active during the day and are notorious for their speed and aggression against humans or any other potential predator. This species of snake will feed on virtually any vertebrate animal, including frogs, lizards and other reptiles, rodents, and birds. They are found in Australia, New Guinea, and Indonesia.
