These are the parrot pins we have in stock as of today, May 9, 2008. The white streaks are not part of the pin, but are the reflection of the light I used to take the photo. The highlights emphasize the high gloss, durable finish of these pieces. Yes, when you buy your parrot, you will be able to see the eye without the reflection! These bird pins measure 1 1/2 inches tall, and are packed with detail and charm. Cast in pewter and hand-painted, they are made in the USA. The detail in the feathers is created by the relief of the cast metal and the paint that settles artfully in the lower areas of the casting, such as between each feather. Yes, our painted animal jewelry even comes in this style - a charming running ostrich! Each hand-painted animal pin or tie tack is $29.00. We have some metal finishes as well for $10.00 each. I heard from the artist yesterday that the price of pewter (in which all of these animals are originally cast) went shooting up from $3.00+ for x amount to $10.00+ for x amount. It makes it hard to keep producing these exquisite products! The only good news here is that we have so many pieces of this particular style of animal jewelry in stock right now that our prices don't need to rise with the price of metal.

A huge new shipment of gorgeously-detailed hand-painted pieces arrived in December, and we're still working to get them online. If you don't see the animal you want, PLEASE ASK!
