Plastic Ostrich

Now those are some AMAZING drumsticks!

Our Plastic Ostrich

This plastic ostrich replica is a male. The females are usually dark brown or gray. Our ostrich stands 2 1/2 inches tall and measures 1 inch across the brown base. Because of the base, it stands up and can easily be used for displays and school dioramas. Be sure to see our other ostrich and emu toys and gifts.

About Ostriches

The ostrich (Struthio camelus) is a flightless African bird standing between six and nine feet tall. The four subspecies are found in various locations in Africa. Ostriches and emus are often confused, as they look quite similar, but the ostrich comes from Africa, and the emu from Australia. Ostriches stand on their two toes, run very fast, and can attain weights of 200 to about 285 pounds. The chicks grow very fast, up to 10 inches per month as youngsters. An ostrich can live for 75 years.
