Swimming with the Fishes

Some people estimate that there are over 5000 different species of Amazon River fish. The bin from a market in Santarem, Brazil, contains a kind of catfish, which I was told was quite the delicacy. The tastiest food fish though is called the tambaqui and can be found at most every restaurant. Yet, for sheer fame, nothing rivals the reputation of the piranha. Tapir and Friends Animal Store has a wide variety of exotic plastic fish for sale, which serve well as examples for science projects. We do not have a catfish replica at this time, but come see our miniature plastic piranha. Don't worry, ours doesn't bite.
