About Anubis
The ancient Egyptian panthenon provides many different Gods and Goddesses for different purposes. The God Anubis is the God of the Dead, and therefore was also the patron of mummification. With a jackal's head on a human body, Anubis drew the departed's soul into the afterlife and watched over them for eternity.
