About Eagle Owls
The eagle owl (Bubo bubo) is a species of horned owl and is considered the largest owl. It is found in Europe and Asia and has a deep resonant call like ooh-hoo. It has an enormous wingspan sometimes stretching up to five feet. Like most owls it feeds on small rodents but is capable of snatching small mammals in its sharp talons. It is easily recognizable by its size, and brilliant orange eyes.
