Our White Rhino Figurine Gets a Beautiful Makeover

This realistic white rhino replica has just become more lifelike than ever. Safari, Ltd., the manufacturer of our popular rhino toy, has been updating the look of many of their animals to give them even stronger characteristics of the real animals. This rhino - one of our favorites - has just had its makeover. You can hardly miss the lifelike qualities of its horns, face, and wonderfully folded skin. The color, too, has been improved.

Our White Rhino Plastic Model

Our plastic rhinoceros is made of solid plastic by Safari, Ltd., one of the best names in plastic animals, its superior design and details make it a museum-quality replica or collector's item, and yet the price puts it in range for the average collector of plastic animals. This sturdy, durable rhino is also excellent for use in school projects, dioramas, or even as a children's toy. The words "White Rhino" are embossed on the underside. Each rhinoceros comes with an informational tag in French, Italian, Spanish, German, and English. Come see our unique selection of rhino toys and gifts!

About White Rhinos

The second largest of all land animals, the white rhino is about 5 feet tall at the shoulder, up to 13 feet long and can weigh over 2 tons. The shade trees, water holes and mud wallows of grassy savannas are their preferred territory. White rhinos are actually gray in color. They were called "weit" (Dutch for wide) because of their wide, square muzzle, which is perfect for grazing. They have two horns on their long face, carry their head low and have a nuchal hump on their neck containing the muscles needed to lift their heavy heads. However, because of this hump, white rhinos can't swim. The rhino's front horn can grow to at least 3 1/2 feet, but the rear usually only reaches about 22 inches. The "horn" is really just thickly matted hair that grows from the skull with no skeletal support. Like our hair and fingernails, their horns are continuously growing.
